Here are the number plates of the first 3 cars I owned. DG7195 was a 1969 Mk1 Ford Escort van, bought in Marton in the Rangitikei district for $1700 in 1985. It was 1100cc, then 1300cc and later 1600cc JJ8 was a Ford Escort rally car, long retired, bought from someone in Belmont, Lower Hutt with a loan from my girlfriend at the time, now my wife of almost 34 years. EE3930 was a pristine 1972 Ford Escort bought in 1990 with a very bad diff that ultimately become a merger of it and the 2 before it (registered as OW706) that had a very happy life on gravel roads around Te Ika-a-Māui in 93/94 until its throttle stuck open and it went off a very high bank and ended up in a paddock, and took 4 hours to recover it back to the road. I miss them all as if they were my first born 3 babies
