@johnefrancis@cosocial.ca Solar rooftop installations were booming in Alberta until 2019 when the UCP canned the program incentivizing them. Then a couple years later they adjusted regulations in ways that essentially killed the whole industry in the province. :/

@Chigaze@cosocial.ca solar crossed over from needing subsidies a while ago. Now it just needs fair treatment like any other generator. When individuals and businesses find a workable situation, the province shouldn't be allowed to block it. I think they stand a good chance of getting sued bigly by businesses and land owners that are blocked from proceeding.
