@va3db@mastodon.radio It also serves as communications during emergencies — my FMRS/GMRS radios all have a Wx / Weather band button, which will all be useless without these broadcasts.

@va3db@mastodon.radio I read that yesterday - very odd "response" in that it was basically a shoulder shrug and "we'll miss it too". From the title i was hopeful they'd engaged with government on it, or were pitching to take it over (imagine!) or ... Something.
