@quad@akko.quad.moe @kura@hai.z0ne.social @hj@shigusegubu.club tbh the issue with most early gen pokemon games is that they restricted where you could go until halfway through the game. The balancing also entirely gimps you for that first half because of the limited set of pokemon available and the fact some don't even learn useful moves until somewhere past lvl 30. Also grinding in some parts is pure suffering because wild pokemon give fuck all exp and unless you're one-hitting them, they usually spam annoying ass shit like sand-attack, supersonic and at a later point those fucking status powder attacks (I SWEAR TO FUCKING GOD THOSE BELLSPROUTS, WHY ARE FIRE POKEMON SO RARE UNTIL THE ASSFUCK POINT OF THE GAME)
