A huge pro-independence majority at Holyrood, and wins for Plaid Cymru and Sinn Fein signal the end days of the British Union (I hope). #Yes #independence #Ireland #Cymru #Wales #Scotland

I was pleased to see my old #Yes campaigning buddy, Stephen Gethins, was elected to Dundee City East. This means he will be resigning his Westminster seat to return to Holyrood. Returning to Holyrood might be a smart move for anyone having designs on leading the SNP. Just sayin'. 😃

@fitheach@mstdn.io I was very disappointed in Reform Ltd's gains. However, pleased with the SNP and, if I'd returned as planned, I'd have been voting Plaid, so that was good. I had hoped the Greens would do better though. Reform is repugnant and sickening. Same bunch that voted for brexit I expect.

@fitheach@mstdn.io So what's going to happen next? Are you going to go, cap in hand, to Westminster to ask for permission to hold a referendum, or are you going to take charge of your own destiny?

@fitheach@mstdn.io We would like Independence in the north of England instead of having ex-public school types from the south ruling (not governing) us.
