the other day someone who knows much of my recent story heard about injuring my arm in a guitar accident and said she thought I must be unlucky. I said, "after what I've survived?? I'm the luckiest woman you know," and that's stuck with me since. over the intervening days I've come to be grateful she asked -- I don't think I'd have quite noticed this way, if she hadn't.
