PS. This doesn’t mean I could do without the actual battery. My electricity is only 12p per kWh because I only import it when the time of use tariff sets that price. At other times of day the price is either about 27p or (during the evening peak) over 36p. The local battery enables me to buy cheap and run everything off what I’ve stored (or direct from solar) during all those more expensive periods.
