@Tooden@aus.social That only works if women are complicit and buy into the narrative. And that has obviously worked throughout the centuries and millennia, or otherwise, suppressing roughly half the people wouldn't work. Mothers have brought up their kids to obey the dictum of absent father figures. Have a look at that old school brand of conservative women in politics: Margaret Thatcher, Angela Merkel, Theresa May, Hillary Clinton (spare me telling she's a Democrat, by global standards the US has only a right and a further right party), ice cold neocon social coldness patriarchy. Look at TERfs, even hiding under the label of feminism, but doing nothing but patriarchy's work. You don't need to be a man to buy into patriarchy, and what happens when a growing number of women doesn't anymore is "male loneliness epidemic" - women actually choosing not to be in a relationship with highly potential harassers is still framed with the impact on men in mind, and older women scold younger women for being bad wifes. @Tattie@eldritch.cafe
