I'm running Pop OS so Ubuntu.
I installed COSMOS, then GNOME.
I was able to easily switch to GNOME once it was installed.
But, since that switch, I haven't seen the gear to the lower right on the login tile to select desktop environment.
Then I installed Cinnamon. Still no gear.
Is there a configuration file I should check or something?
I've not had luck searching the web for "ubuntu desktop environment selection thing not visible"
