We tried that, too - didn't work. The asparagus I sowed 3 years ago just doesn't want to grow as prolific as we expect it to.

@feinschmeckergarten@norden.social @Broad fork@mastodon.green Southern Minnesota had small town canning plants for asparagus, green peas, and sweet corn. The old soil and the old climate must be proper growing conditions.

The compost pile temperature is a high temperature of 115 F ( 46 C ) at six inches deep (15 cm). And 90 F ( 32 C) at 18 inches deep (45 cm). Of course the earth’s temperature is holding the processing down. #compost, #minnesota, #Zone4b
