@Broadfork@mastodon.green Yes. The green manures are ready to chop and drop before other plants, except rhubarb. Yes. It’s the first big harvest available for the compost pile. The moisture content is good in the compost as we have rain barrel water and water extracts. Both comfrey and nettle. We will watch the temperature. #compost

@Broadfork@mastodon.green The compost gained heat in the first 24 hours. The daytime high was an overcast 50 F (10 C). The temperatures were frosty overnight. #compost.
