so the nes mini I just bought takes 9VAC in, of course, but the first thing it does is go to a rectifier and then to a lm7805 voltage regulator to get to 5VDC. since I'm already modding the crap out of it to give it a snes style multi-out w/ rgb, composite, and s-video I wonder if I should also convert the barrel jack to USB-C and power it via USB-PD? 🤔 there's also a freak in me that wants to give it an hdmi output but I'm not sure how I'd do that. the case is WAY too small to slap in a gbs-8200 scaler or something like that. I know the day will come that I start building stupid PCBs for console mods but I'm not there yet.
