@ireneista@adhd.irenes.space the thing I dislike about the *current* quote post implementation (that is: a URL) is that it doesn’t notify the person that they are now on the receiving end of more attention. Invisible quote posts are imo worse than quote posts, and that’s what you have now.

@Catfish_Man@mastodon.social ah, yes that's fair we're not sure we agree that it's worse, because it does add friction for readers, which does seem to slow things down enough that we don't get the same sorts of reactivity storms on fedi that twitter had. it's certainly not ideal, yeah.
