@ireneista@adhd.irenes.space I think the "abusers" of quote-posts will just screenshot-and-attach.
So, I think not implementing the feature is actually punishing the people that will user it well.
But, I'm also not a Mastodon developer, and I'm a big fan of worker decision and autonomy. So, I'll leave it up to them.

@BoydStephenSmithJr@hachyderm.io screenshots don't promote mass action on the part of downstream readers, in the same way that quote posts do. it's the extreme low friction of quote posting that makes reactivity storms "work".
