@foxbasealpha@tech.lgbt In the US, VW introduced the Golf under the Rabbit name, which as near as I can tell continued through until the MkII was introduced. Later for a short time as a marketing gimmick, they brought the Rabbit name back but it didn't stick. Now the only Golf models for sale in the US are the GTI and the R. I had both a 2020 Golf SE (with the 1.4 turbo) and a 2021 GTI.
