understanding user requirements has always been the main bottleneck in software engineering… building the right thing is more important than building the thing right (although, one should strive to do both)

@jpaulgibson@mastodon.ie It reminds me if an IT project of mine that was a success regarding: fulfillment of deliveries, schedule and cost BUT was a fail because of user requirements: they were written by a team with few connections with the the real users. And if the app was in line with the user requirements documentation, it was not with the real users needs. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
