Okay, #Hometown v1.1.1 is now released! Massive release notes here: https://github.com/hometown-fork/hometown/releases/tag/v4.0.2%2Bhometown-1.1.1 Admins, please let me know if you run into trouble on the upgrade. This is a tricky one, mostly due to Mastodon v3 -&gt; v4 stuff. You&#39;ll get a lot of mileage searching the Mastodon issues repo for production errors you run into on the upgrade. I&#39;ll repeat what I said on the release notes: if your installation is customized in any way (sidekiq setup, etc) you NEED to be careful.

Now that #Hometown's new version is out, I want to promote this amazing guide by @mart0@438punk.house that walks you through the process of creating a Hometown server from scratch. The level of detail here is astounding. It only covers Hometown v1.0.8 but I see no reason you couldn't easily upgrade to v1.1.0 following the normal upgrade instructions at the end. https://n00q.net/articles/guide-mastodon-hometown/

@darius@friend.camp hello, I just discovered hometown, is a fantastic project imo, it fixes 99% of mastodon shortcomings. (1% is share with comment...) I would like to convert my regular instance to hometown, could you assist me? Is the process reversible? Many thanks ;-)
