#Olio is an app to fight food waste. It let's you find food that would otherwise go off, give food, but also things.
As the goal is decent, I was willing to overlook some of the bad, starting with it not being FOSS.
A few years ago, the web version of the service was killed off. Hmm.
Then, they introduced selling items, which rather went against the initial idea of the platform.
Now, there's a classic / illegal "consent" screen when you open the app, and it's *bad*. (Classically illegal?)

You won't be surprised to hear that this #GDPR consent thing: - only offers "accept" as a quick option - puts refusing behind a "more information" thing - lists tens of trackers, sorry, "partners" with a pre-checked (opt-out: illegal) "legitimate interest" switch (also illegal), hidden behind yet another menu/link (anyone surprised this is also illegal?) This feels like #enshittification in all its glory. Never mind that, on top of this, it feels like the place has become a ghost town.
