It's very strange how covid exposed a lot of things - like how governments could just spend without having the money, or how that money then flows to the wealthiest in society, or how work (and life) can slow down but won't collapse society - but we seem to have chosen to have not seen all that and gone back to the way it was and then turning the dial to 11...

@drmambobob@ecoevo.social That spending without having the money is exactly why prices have gone up. No, they cannot spend what does not exist. They can steal from everyone else by creating more credit. There is no fixing the present money system. It needs to be rethought from scratch. The last serious thinking about that was during the Depression, and therefore before computers. We now have the means to test all those ideas and see which ones work.
