But also I'd like to say about Libreoffice*:
I miss the simple functionally of find and replace paragraph ending marks; as it's long been a thing I used in word when working with text and the fact that there is an extn you can add to get it back (after a faff and not simply) proves I'm not the only one that misses it!

@cockneylaurie@mastodonapp.uk I haven't used Libreoffice for a while but I always felt an uncanny-valley-type-feeling: it's kind of almost the same as Word but not quite, and the 'not quite' things are subtle and uncomfortable. But I did write several years' worth of essays with it, and it's perfectly capable. But I miss WordPerfect... (oh and don't get me started on GIMP)
