I just found out how to turn the AI "assistant" off on the software I use every day, and how to make its button disappear entirely.

@nxskok@cupoftea.social one junior dev has told me they're worried they're getting worse at the thing they enjoy doing, but it's too easy to use the magic button. My boss has told me he has the same concerns as I do, but continues to push ahead with the party line. Everyone has bought into the idea of inevitability. I frequently daydream about opening a bakery cafe, but you know how they say the best way to make a small fortune is to start with a big one...
