For reasons having to do with them being shitty about something involving one of my kids, I'm not really interacting with my parents beyond holidays\birthdays right now. My sister just sent all of us brothers a text that was like "I know some of you don't really talk to Mom and Dad, but I need to tell you that..." and then cut off on my screen. the rest of it was basically "they are getting old". Which, yeah they're in their 80s.
