Unpopular opinion: if you still hate webp in 2026 then thats a skill issue. Its far smaller than png, but unlike jpeg it doesn't fuck up the image quality. If software doesn't support it, get better software.

@ultrasquid@wetdry.world it can fuck up the image quality if you will it to :3 it has both lossless and lossy modes (though for lossless it’s outclassed by jxl a lot of the time, and for lossy it’s outclassed by avif always)
