@rakuno@gamepad.club FWIW I *think* the "chosen one" stuff gets largely justified in the later Cold Steel games - or at least muddled together with such a complex web of lore that you lose track of what's arbitrary fantasy hero tropes and what is justifiably related to [massive pile of worldbuilding and backstory spoilers].
CS2 is probably my favorite Trails game. It's so satisfying after the slow build up of CS1 finally breaks and suddenly there's PLOT everywhere.

@squipo@mastodon.gamedev.place Nice! And that is what I am hopping for CS2 and later games. CS1 felt like they were laying a lot of groundwork for future plot development and I know from previous Trails games that they always pay off. So I am looking forward to see how things will turn out. Specially since now I am very much attached to class VII!
