If anyone is looking for a cozy and wholesome game I highly recommend Cat Mail Co. So far it has been pretty relaxing and I don't think it is a very long game either. There is a demo on Steam for anyone who wants to give it a try too. https://store.steampowered.com/app/4380490/Cat_Mail_Co/ #VideoGames #CatMailCo

Somehow I only found out now that there is an actual official Trails TTRPG. No clue if it is any good but I like the idea of it existing at least. https://www.drivethrurpg.com/en/product/567543/the-legend-of-heroes-trails-of-destiny #TTRPG #JRPG

There are times while playing House Flipper Remastered that a job makes me go "What the heck?!?" and amuse me at the same time. This was one of those times. #HouseFlipperRemastered #VideoGames

I decided to break the Earth Crystal before the end of chapter 7 to see what happened... ... Well, I didn't expect Airy to turn into that ugly of a monster. I mean, I was in denial but part of me knew she would turn into a monster. Just not that ugly of a monster. I still felt bad though when Airy begged to stop. Now to see what kind of mess I got myself into...

I finally finished Bravely Default! This is one of those games I've been meaning to finish for years, since back when the 3DS version was the only one in existence. It wasn't until @aceattveg started to play recently that I got the motivation to play the PC remastered version of it. And honestly? No regrets! Definitely one of the best JRPGs in history! #BravelyDefault #JRPG #VideoGames

I am almost done with the grinding in Bravely Default. The only one left is for the petals. I am terrible at the rhythm minigame so getting them will be a pain. Specially because I'd like to get those silver weapons to complete the encyclopedia. Everything else wasn't nearly as bad as I feared thanks to having a fully restored Norende and the accessories that they sell. #BravelyDefault #JRPG #VideoGames

For an old man, Sage Yulyana hits like a truck! On my first attempt he just destroyed me. The second one went slightly better with Edea as a Valkyrie and just jumping away. I think I will just be lame and use the Thief/Valkyrie strategy to win this fight. Just need to grind the levels for those jobs with Ringabel and Tiz first. Also finish Valkyrie with Edea.

So, the numbers as patterns on Airy's wings is a pretty clever hint. To what? I don't know yet. I even checked previous scenes in the event viewer and the patterns do change! I still want to believe that Airy isn't evil and there are more complicated circumstances going on but maybe I am just coping. This is also making me curious enough to break one of the crystals... But there are stuff I want to get done before that.

It took me a while but I just finished Chapter 5 of Bravely Default. The increased difficulty took me by surprise but after I managed to adjust it wasn't so bad. I also took the time to do some money grind, hunting monsters for the encyclopedia and get some more genes. The plot is starting to get really interesting. It is also nice to see that the protagonists aren't complete fools and are starting to question things. #BravelyDefault #JRPG #VideoGames

Now we'll see who is the real Dark Knight!

I just beat the dragons for the key stones in Bravely Default. Those were some really annoying fights even using a cheesy strategy like making everybody use the Ninja job. Oh, well, at least now I can go to a certain castle to acquire another asterisk... #BravelyDefault #JRPG #VideoGames

Castle explored and new asterisk acquired! That was a pain and given how hard the fights are becoming I am wondering if I should focus more on a few jobs or try to level more jobs to get their abilities. Probably a bit of both! :blobcatlaugh: Anyway, now I am off to get some tasty genomes! #BravelyDefault #JRPG #VideoGames

All that I remembered about Tiz and Agnès from back when I played in the 3DS is that they were both country bumpkins and good people. I completely forgot the immense amount of pressure that Agnès suffers from, which is completely understandable given the circumstances. Or that both of them suffer from survivor's guilty. Again, completely understandable. I like it as it makes them very human. (1/2)

Related to my last toot, there are some people out there who think nostalgia is a terrible thing. But I think it is worth replaying older games from time to time, specially heavy story ones. It is not only a great way to refresh your memory about the story but as you grow older your way of thinking about the world changes and what you take from those stories also changes. It is like re-reading a good book from time to time. You can always find something new on the story as you get older.

I thought Praline would be an easy fight but she gave me a lot of trouble. I hadn't had this much problem with a boss fight since the first crystal. Actually, I think that boss might have been a lot less annoying than Praline! Oh, well. I beat her and now it is time to go to the next part of the game! #BravelyDefault #JRPG

Bravely Default is proving harder than I remember. I mean it is not Dark Souls' level of hardness but it is neither like many modern JRPGs where you can just brute force your way through the fights. The last couple of bosses I had to do a bit of grind and rethink my strategies to beat them. Also, just to be clear, I am not complaining, just making an observation. The game is still fun and I don't mind losing once or twice to a boss until I figure out a good strategy. #BravelyD...

I was going to wait until I finished a few more games on my backlog before starting on Bravely Default but @aceattveg posts about it gave me the itch to play it. :blobcatlaugh: I missed these four dorks and hopefully this time I will actually finish the game! #BravelyDefault #VideoGames #JRPG

Usually I don't play with mods like this but I do appreciate the insanity and effort put into it. Well, actually I don't play with mods in Stellaris because I am already bad enough with the vanilla game. But Bethesda games? Modded so much that they are almost a different game! :blobcatlaugh: Anyway, hope someone else might find it amusing it too. https://www.reddit.com/r/Stellaris/comments/1ue3uq2/spent_an_entire_day_making_an_umazing_empire/ #Stellaris

I decided to watch Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood for the first time and the story certainly hits different now than when I was reading the manga as a teenager. When I was a kid it was like: this equal trade thing is an interesting idea. Now it is like: So much war crime/horrible things being done by order of/with the consent of the government! The way the story is trying to convey its messages also feels a bit heavy handed. Age sure changes one's perspectives on things! :blobcatla...

Now that the Nomads DLC has released for Stellaris I decided to make a Megacorporation Death Cult that is going on a pilgrimage. So far it has been interesting to try to learn the new ark mechanics. It almost makes the game feel like a completely different one. I am curious how it will work out in the long term though. #Stellaris #VideoGame

I decided to start playing House Flipper 2 since the Remastered version of the first game is still quite buggy. Although so far I have some mixed feelings on the sequel it does have some amusing moments. Like this time where I decided to check a client's mailbox and found a banana inside. What kind of person does that?!? #HouseFlipper2 #VideoGames

Watching the trailer for Persona 4 Revival it immediately hit me that I will have a hard time resisting dating Chie again. I just love her character and her voice actress (the japanese one, to be clear). :blobcatlaugh:

Well, the demo of 1666 Amsterdam was a big disappointment.... It felt more like a very brief interactive teaser for the game's story and didn't show what the game will be really about. As for the story it was teasing? Felt too edge-lord-y for my tastes. I guess I am just getting too old for this kind of thing. :blobcatlaugh: So, unless I see something to convince me otherwise I am giving this one a pass.

I haven't talked anything about this game but I just finished playing Parquet. It is a pretty nice, short visual novel with an interesting sci-fi story. Now to decide if I play start on another VN, continue another one that I stopped in the middle or start playing something else altogether... #Parquet #VideoGames

I just finished watching All of Us Are Already Dead. I think it is making me appreciate zombie apocalypse shows more than movies as it gives us more time to get to know the survivors and care about them. Apparently a second season was announced and I am curious where it will go considering how the first season ended.

I was skeptical about Paralives but after watching the trailer and the gameplay video I am now feeling cautiously excited about it. #Paralives #VideoGames

Cool! The impression I got are that they are farm sims? If so I am just trying to avoid them for now. I keep promising myself I will come back to play Stardew Valley and check some of the updates or play Rune Factory 4 which I barely started on but haven't done either... So until then I am avoiding buying more. :x

Just finished Trails of Cold Steel! Now I am trying to decide if I should start the New Game+ now to get all the little things I missed or play something else for a bit. I was also going to make a thread comparing it to previous Trails games but doing it in a social media platforms feels like too much work to be honest. :p So, I will just sum it up with I had fun but have some nitpicks! :blobcatlaugh: #TrailsOfColdSteel #JRPG #VideoGames

I don't know if my adventures in NAS/Homelabbing are getting more mature or crazier but I am thinking of ditching TrueNAS and moving on to a combination of Proxmox/OpenMediaVault for my current needs. Then adding other services later on as I figure things out. Need to do more research on this before I decide on anything.

One interesting thing about having a Trails game set in Erebonia is to see how the locals view Chancellor Osborne. I was expecting him to be hated here as much as he is hated in other nations. But apparently he did some good things for the commoners of Erebonia and thus earned their admiration. If I didn't know any better I would even think he was a good guy! #TrailsOfColdSteel #JRPG #VideoGames
