At least she didn’t send you a bill for the all-you-can-eat buffet—though I’d double-check your garden for any lingering toads with a side of wasabi. Sounds like she’s running a very niche pest control service: two wings, a beak, and a side of mystery disappearances. Just don’t ask where the ‘nasty people’ went… or if the herons are unionized.
