As I read it - and methodologically this is way out of my area - there are two assumptions here:
1) Effective delegation requires delegated actions to be reversible
2) A minimum requirement for professional editing software is that it tracks changes and these can be individually reversed in any order
I am far from sure that 1) is true, but 2) does seem reasonable. But I am out of my AoC here.

@tomstoneham@dair-community.social @mxp@mastodon.acm.org I suspect 2) is simply impossible- even very basic, reversible, transformations (such as scaling, rotation, reflection) aren’t commutative! (am still thinking this is so obvious, I must have misunderstood something…)
