I guess the thing that’s really got my back up on this one is that I’m seeing it from so many putative journalists.
I’ve come to expect errors like there/their/they’re, “all intensive purposes,” and “quotes” for “emphasis” from (the) hoi polloi, but I feel like people who’ve chosen a vocation requiring communication in the English language really ought to know better.

@Gorfram@beige.party Oh, absolutely. I think the idea has percolated that speed of publication (whatever publication may be) trumps quality. But I agree - if you're a professional writer, details should matter.
