Merlin heard 20 birds (I saw three more), I heard all but the scarlet tanager, but it’s likely there. Yellow rumped warblers too and a great look at a rose breasted grosbeak up in baby leafed oak tree. A whole rainbow out there this morning with goldfinches, blue birds and blue jays, northern orioles, cardinals.

Biggest change: no white throated sparrows. Not one. After weeks of them, often a dozen at a time, foraging under the feeders, and calling from the wet woods. Silence!
