@elb@social.sdf.org idly wondering how long it was from the release of the machines you're referring to, to when they started becoming considered "classic". Because, well, I've got this MacBook from 2008...

@aburka@hachyderm.io "Classic Mac" in this case is a technical term used to refer to Macs of the Motorola 68k architecture, which were discontinued in the mid to late 1990s (in favor of PowerPC). 2008 is probably early x86 Mac, yet another architectural change later. It's still a cool machine, though, and you should definitely do something fun with it!
