There's a false narrative that envisions a world where the data work will improve as these systems are capable to self-train, and that somehow, we will benefit from this technology long term.
I would gently point to a historical example, like the cotton gin in the US South... It might have made cotton picking more efficient. But gluttonous demand meant that exploitation grew (slavery), and the whole economy of the south became dependent on the textile industry.
