That's quite disappointing.
Considering Stallman calls ChatGPT a bullshit generator I would think utilizing Claude generated code in Hurd would be less than ideal.
I would assume any code produced by non-free software would be exactly that. Non-free.
Some maintainers seem to erroneously assume it strips copyright.

@milagemayvary@mstdn.social Quite disappointing, indeed. I wonder if there's anything we can do about it. It crossed my mind to write a reply to that mail thread, but then I thought I don't get to tell maintainers how to run the project, considering I had no contributions at all.
