@smallsco@oldbytes.space @nikdoof@social.doofnet.uk @dmark@hachyderm.io WHY IS THIS NOT IN THE DOCUMENTATION??? I have been editing /etc/netatalk/afp.conf THIS WHOLE TIME.
Is this just common / assumed knowledge?
(I'm actually making progress now that I'm editing the correct file...)

@theirongiant@hachyderm.io @nikdoof@social.doofnet.uk @dmark@hachyderm.io IIRC the default file path was changed a while back, but I think you can customize it at compile time. I took a gander at the docs, and on https://netatalk.io/docs/Getting-Started it says to run “afpd -V" which will print the path to the configuration file that it is using. EDIT: and on https://netatalk.io/docs/Troubleshooting the first question/answer actually says to confirm that the afp.conf file you edited is in the correct location. So you're not the only person who's run into this problem!
