hot take: informed consent is the only acceptable standard for providing HRT to adults, and if it isn't available in your country you are always justified in taking shortcuts like DIY so long as nobody else is harmed in the process the only reason you should need for getting E or T is "I want to", and nobody gets to judge you for "trying it", stopping again if it isn't for you, or getting it in ways not approved by the system even if it was theoretically possible for you to do it through said system
