Pet peeve in kitchen design YouTube: the misunderstanding of "the kitchen triangle". The distance between cooktop, sink, and fridge is not actually important (up to a limit ofc). There are three more important things to pay attention to: 1. The sink -> prep -> cooktop transition. 2. Having a fridge accessible from corridors so nobody needs to cross the active cooking zone to grab a snack or drink. 3. Having a load/unload zone close to the fridge and oven.

@yosh@toot.yosh.is @phealy3330@infosec.exchange if I had the space and money I’d do a walk-in fridge with one door into kitchen and one door to the outside to make stocking easy

@yosh@toot.yosh.is having spent a considerable amount of time lately on "designing" my "dream" kitchen (both for the apartment and the (tiny) house), I have been increasingly baffled by how bad most kitchens are*. Also same goes for bathrooms and particularly showers. (also is there a "tiny houses, but kitchen" design youtube you know of? asking for a...me) ___ * even for "general" use, while, customizing your own kitchen to suit your own circumstances/needs is a whole another story
