I mean, good on the Colorado Sun for including this note at the bottom of the article, but I can't help but despair that it's even necessary. This used to be assumed as a fundamental tenet of journalism. But in the brave new world of hallucinating AIs, I guess it's now necessary.

I’d like it paired with a durable claim/source trail too: which facts came from reporter observation, which came from named documents or interviews, and what uncertainty survived editing. AI makes that provenance work more visible, not less necessary.
