@newstik@social.heise.de hmm yeah I’ll have to remember how many authenticator apps I use and see if I have to manually do anything to move to the new device. I don’t think I’m using eSIMs. But good advice about nitrifying signal contacts.

@Rycaut@mastodon.social Some of my verified contacts have reported not having received a notification during my recent device change. But I received a notification from a verified contact yesterday. So I don't know when exactly these notifications are triggered and when not. Methinks: If you have verified contacts, it doesn't hurt to let them know in advance.
