In a class this week I learned Renoir was, and I quote, "a virulent antisemite." So I asked a scholar of Impressionism I know about it and learned that not only do museums usually omit this, but many actively suppress attempts to mention it. Renoir died over a century ago. What are we even doing here? 🎨
