The media seems relatively uninterested in the £5m in crypto-currency given to the Facist Frog, but a lot more interested in the council tax affairs of Zack Polanski. On one level this is a metric of how seriously the Right take the threat from Polanski & the Green Party of England & Wales.... on another level, given what happened to Jeremy Corbyn at the hands of an antagonistic media, we might have hoped he would have put his own house (boat) in order ahead of the game? #Greens #politics

@ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us I'm sure Polanski could have had a perfectly clean history and still be savaged by the media, there'll always be something he did while waving through the Russian asset who took a £5m bung.

@ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us I do not see how this is even an issue. Polanski is not an MP, nor is he an elected councillor. He pays rent to a landlord, which usually includes rates and such. His family privacy has been invaded. His partner may be paying the rates, and he wants to keep some level of personal life without the media slobbering all over everyone he ever spoke to or had a date with. It’s harassment, trolling, and trying to raise hate and homophobia. Disgusting by media.

@ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us > The media seems relatively uninterested in the £5m Could it be because media workers have taken their share? Or perhaps their owners have taken the double? -= Vote Reform UK! We’ll make *this* country a second America in just no time at all! =-

@ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us he will be (metaphorically) hanged in the public square as the new Corbyn if the right wing papers can't do it alone the BBC will finish the job he has to be louder than their voices he's younger than Corbyn and better able to work many left leaning spaces visible on the internet but he'll have no free ride like Starmer because he's not gonna bow to the establishment (as much)

  • @ChrisMayLA6@zirk.us I’m speculating but having read Neidle’s hit-piece in support of the Times story and its reliance on both the minutiae of case law relating to Council Tax liability and presumptions about Zack’s living arrangements based on where his post was delivered and he was reported to do his laundry, I honestly don’t imagine for a minute it occurred to Zack that anything was amiss in his financial affairs Once it was pointed out, he held up his hands, apologised and paid up 🤷🏽‍♂️
