@xinit@mastodon.coffee I think that the idea that their definition of filth stands for something other than labelling people as filth lets these horrible folk off the hook.
Imagine if this word was applied to the LGBTQIA+ community, to people of different races, people with different skin colours or who followed different religions. Then they tried to justify it by saying, actually, it stands for something. Imagine the outcry. But for some reason, Scottish people don't seem to matter.

@IndyRichard@mastodon.scot Fair. It wouldn't be all that surprising for it to be a backronym to explain how "non-offensive" it was, and feign innocence while looking offended. That paper is a Tory rag, I assume? The rest of the wording on the article is full of strange ideas.
