Part of the lesson here is that it's a mistake to confuse opinions on Twitter/X (and probably on social media in general) with those in real life. I don't know to what degree these fakers shift the opinion of people who are sympathetic to the views they're paid to broadcast, but it's certainly wrong to think they're representative of the public.

They don't care if they cause real damage. They're a half a world away and all they care about is creating outrage and ad revenue. Cold, heartless, greedy bastards.
