@TheEddieShow@beige.party @cobalt123@beige.party 2nd this. The experience you are having is unacceptable. It means they either are rounding without identifying themselves, or more likely, nobody physically rounded during that time frame. If they filed a progress note with an examination documented during that 24 hours, and never were physically present, that is insurance fraud and a very big deal.

@TheEddieShow@beige.party @cobalt123@beige.party we get these complaints in the ED all the time. We take it seriously. Most of the time it is because one of our female docs is misidentified as a nurse, but a not insignificant number of times it is because the doc never went back into the room after the initial visit. That’s bad care. I’ve done it when we’re busy, and it is bad for the patient, family, staff, me, and the hospital. In an ICU, it is really quite unacceptable given the complexity.
