@fox@bark.lgbt i dont know for sure but i believe it's under some sticker ill have to rip off. and for protecting, theres actually a command i used called protect that can protect/unprotect flash regions , but i made sure that region was unprotected (it tells you which ones are and arent) and it still wont write anything to that area. doing it from the OS is a good idea, its a linux so maybe its as easy as some block device...
