@electricarchaeo@scholar.social I went to university where one college offered student designed majors, and the high school where I taught the most was modeled on essentially the same philosophy (+ a little Maslow).

@michaelc@scholar.social @electricarchaeo@scholar.social My UG major had an element of student design to it. We've got a couple in my current institution, but the two offered by my department are quite structurally rigid. I love small classes. 100+ student lectures are just tiring and challenging. My students from my class of 40 have mentioned my persona there is very different from in my big class. More learning and enjoyment in the small one.
