Apple has a long history of terrible naming, and I guess they're going all in on Air, Max, Pro, & Ultra names for all hardware.
And that's too bad. They're not good names. They don't do anything to describe the products. They're essentially marketing names for pricing tiers.
I prefer names that give the user info about the thing. "Touch ID” and “Face ID” were not named “Authentication Pro” and “Authentication Ultra”, and for good reason.
I know @gruber likes it, but he’s wrong on this one.
