maybe it's because messages like
"many of you trust me"
or
"the technical issues you encountered in my contest were minor and didn't bother you"
are backwards - they feel like things the audience would know better than the speaker,

@wolf480pl@mstdn.io "The EU" has many issues in the way it communicates in general. Reporting trust numbers gathered from citizens is not one of those issues. What's the counterfactual here, are they supposed to apologise that most EUropeans trust them or back the Euro? @jmaris@eupolicy.social @benroyce@mastodon.social
