@benroyce@mastodon.social Sorry if my post came off as yelling, I didn't mean it to sound it that way. Also, I didn't realize you'd be pinged by my reply - I only intended to reply to @jmaris@eupolicy.social . I guess that's how quote posts work in mastodon. Let me know if you want out of this discussion and I'll do my best to untag you. Now to the point: I do not believe I have unique insight into what's wrong with the EU. But I do think there is a communication issue between the EU institutions and its citizens. 1/

@benroyce@mastodon.social @jmaris@eupolicy.social And also, I think that, as with most communication issue, the two sides don't understand each others' perspective. It's not a unique insight I have, it's that I'm trying to put into words my perspective on why the "hypercritical" people would react the way they did in the quoted thread. Am I doing a good job at that? Probably not. But I hope with a bit of back-and-forth, I will better understand @jmaris@eupolicy.social's perspective, and he'll better understand mine. 2/2

@wolf480pl@mstdn.io @benroyce@mastodon.social The EU communicates about what it is doing. I don't think it's a good communication strategy, and i don't think it would be useful for them to spend all their time telling us their flaws.
