@dlakelan@mastodon.sdf.org @nomdeb@mstdn.social it seems odd to call it an outbreak of rhinovirus, but masking to avoids colds is, a good idea,, especially for folks who have fragile immune sustems

@carolannie@c.im @dlakelan@mastodon.sdf.org my husband and I always mask in enclosed (or crammed outdoor) spaces amongst strangers and haven't had a cold or the flu or (as far as we know, covid) ever since covid first began. It's been wonderful. I believe outbreak is the correct terminology for a local, beyond what is normal, spread of infection/disease.
