The reason why I hated the Paladin class in #DnD when I was younger, was not merely because I had a bad experience of religion or because of the historical abuses of the knights militant of the various church orders, but because I saw Paladins essentially as police—*as police have always been in my experience of police*, which is to say corrupt, cruel, and hypocritical. Lately, I have come to regard Paladins as they would ideally be, holy protectors of Justice and everything Good. #ttRPG
