@luciedigitalni@aus.social They used to have these desktop lens-grinding machines that would make the prescription lenses while you waited, it took twenty minutes or so, and the one in Sydney apparently had a little injection molding machine that could recycle plastic that you brought in to make new frames. But something happened and now it takes like a week. I get my glasses there because I lose glasses on the regular, so it's really not worth getting anything more expensive. And I like not having to choose what style to get.
My partner has multifocals from them, she hasn't complained, but YMMV.
